All yarns currently produced by Toyota Shigyo undergo gas singeing. We refer to these as "gas-singed yarns."

Gas singeing is a process where the yarn is exposed to gas burner flames to burn off and remove the fine fuzz on the fiber surface. This results in a smoother, cleaner yarn with enhanced properties.

Gas-Singed Yarns

  1. Smoothness: The removal of surface fuzz reduces the contact area with skin, resulting in an exceptionally smooth and silky touch.

  2. Luster: The process enhances the yarn's fine, high-quality sheen, making both the yarn and fabric appear more beautiful. It also improves color vibrancy during dyeing, leading to more distinct patterns.

  3. Strength: The uniform surface of the yarn reduces friction, thereby increasing the overall strength of the yarn.

  4. Durability: The yarn and fabric become more resistant to pilling, leading to increased longevity. This process also improves the pilling grade of the material.

The Story Behind "HIMARAYA LION"

"HIMARAYA LION" is a brand name originally created by our grandfather when he was manufacturing and selling shirts and men's suits. It was a proprietary brand of men's clothing during that time.

We have now revived this brand name, bringing back the legacy and craftsmanship of our family's textile tradition. By reintroducing "HIMARAYA LION," we aim to honor our heritage while offering high-quality products that meet contemporary needs.

This revival represents a bridge between generations, connecting our grandfather's entrepreneurial spirit and expertise with our current innovative approaches in the textile industry.
